Civil Engineering is considered to be the most versatile branch among all the engineering branches. It is the branch with a lot of diversity from geotechnical sciences to structural engineering, environmental to hydraulics, transportation to hydrology; Civil Engineering can be considered as a single largest branch among all the engineering branches.

The Department of Civil Engineering was established in 2009, with an objective to impart teaching, conduct research and to provide consultancy in various facets of Civil Engineering. The Department is offering an Undergraduate course in Civil Engineering (B.Tech) with an approved intake of 60 by AICTE.

The academic activities of the Department emphasizes deep understanding of fundamental principles, development of creative ability to handle the challenges of Civil Engineering and the analytical ability to solve problems which are interdisciplinary in nature. The Department also encourages its students to engage in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities, essential for development, nurturing of team spirit, and developing organizational skills.

The Faculty of the Department continues to strive loftier by exploring new frontiers of knowledge, imparting the latest technical knowledge to the students and conducting high quality research.

Objectives of the Program

a) To impart value based technical knowledge through qualitative theoretical inputs and practical exposure.

b) To bridge the gap between Industry and Institute to facilitate design and implementation of Add-on-Courses that        match Industrial requirements.
